Story
I am walking the Parish Walk this year with the aim of getting to Peel, a distance of about 32 miles, in memory of Jade Quirk.
Jade was diagnosed with cancer, for the second time, in 2010. Jade’s bravery during her battle was an inspiration to everyone. However, she sadly lost her fight in March this year. At age 17, it is even more tragic as she was so young.
Oskar’s Dreams is a charity that meant a lot to Jade and helped her during her fight against the illness. This is why it is the charity I have chosen for which to raise money. Oskar’s Dreams is based in the Isle of Man and helps to fund specialist care for young people.
Jade was a person that meant a lot to me; we were very close. This is the reason why this walk is important to me and I know that Jade will be helping me all the way.
Thank you.
