Air 30 Airbase Challenge · 1 January 2021 to 31 May 2021 ·

To kickstart our Air30 30th anniversary year in 2021, join us on our Near Year New You challenge and take on one of four distances to raise vital funds to support our lifesaving service. Its a great way to help our charity and get fit.

Story

We are cycling/walking/running 121 miles each between Monday 1st of February and the 2nd of March 2021. Therefore together we should log 363 miles. We are doing this in aid of Air Ambulance and to support Kate's friend Henry Carpenter who is walking 52 miles after his accident in April 2020, when he was airlifted to hospital. Kate's parents have also done 3 party's on there farm in aid for Air Ambulance and Kate wanted to raise some money her self for this wonderful charity. Please sponsor and support us through our journey.

By sponsoring my Air30 Airbase challenge you can help make a Mission Possible.  Each year it costs in excess of £10 million to maintain this vital pre-hospital critical care service. Each air ambulance mission costs an average of £2,500. Each critical care car or cardiac car mission costs £224 on average. The charity does not receive funding from the Government or National Lottery for its daily missions so relies entirely on the support and generosity of local people and businesses. Since 1991 Midlands Air Ambulance have has responded to over 60,000 missions, making us one of the busiest air ambulance services in the UK.
