We help stroke survivors to find strength through support.

Story

I'm running The Great North Run in September 2017 in order to raise money for The Stroke Association. My Gran sadly passed away from a stroke in September of 2015, she was very active and into exercise, even though most of it was gardening. Therefore I thought doing something physically challenging would be a great way to honour her memory. I couldn't run for longer than 15 minutes before Christmas but have just managed to complete my first half marathon in 2:06:10 and therefore felt it was the perfect time to begin fundraising. I'm aiming to complete the distance in under 2:00:00, any extra motivation is greatly appreciated.
