Story
On the 20th September, I'll be stepping in to the square circle at the Troxy Theatre in East London for some pugilistic punishment. Boxing three rounds on a white collar event, my first taste of the bright lights, all for charity (and spectator entertainment!).
The charity I'm doing this in aid of is Centrepoint, the UK's leading youth homelessness charity.
Young people often become homeless because it’s safer to leave home than to stay, suffering violence, abuse, family breaking and problems with mental health. 103,000 young people asked for help with homelessness last year.
Centrepoint support over 15,000 young people every year, in lots of different ways. Whether by giving homeless young people a place to stay while they get the help they need to move to independence, or by giving young people the opportunity to complete their education, gain skills and prepare for a career.
Any donations are hugely appreciated, a very worthy cause and having a direct impact on the lives of young homeless people in the UK. Your generosity will be remembered when I become heavyweight champion of the world.
