Elliot Cotterell's London & Bath Marathon - Fundraiser for Meningitis

London Marathon 2023 · 23 April 2023 ·
I will be running the London Marathon for Meningitis. This is a cause incredibly close to my heart as I tragically lost a very close friend at age 16 to this disease and want to do all I can to raise awareness and vital funds to help Meningitis Research Foundation continue the fantastic work they are doing.
I am fortunate enough to have an incredible support system behind me and with their help, I know I can take on this challenge and complete it to the best of my ability. But most importantly, I would like to raise awareness for a wonderful charity who’s work continues to support and save lives.
I am far from an experienced marathon runner and therefore this is going to be nothing short of a monumental challenge in order to get me over the line on the big day.
In order to complete this challenge, it is going to involve:
- Running the Ice Winter 10k Run in London on 5th February 2023;
- Waking up at 6am religiously 5 days a week;
-A very disciplined social and business life;
- Running 3 days a week whilst balancing an incredibly busy work schedule;
- A very healthy and disciplined diet over the festive period as well as on my birthday in January.
I am going to be carrying out a number of events and activities in order to raise money towards my goal, such as:
- A company bake off and cake sale in both our Bath & Bristol offices
- A sky-dive out of a plane at 15,000 feet
-Fundraising at tradeshows
-Assault course
- Bath Half Marathon
If you would like to donate to my fundraising page, I have linked it below, all your support means the world to me and I am incredibly grateful. Each and every penny is appreciated and goes directly to Meningitis.
