The Vitality Big Half 2020 · 1 March 2020 ·
During 2019 I decided I wanted to enter 2020 with a challenge which would push me. It came to me that I'd always wanted to run a half marathon. So here I am....
I chosen to run this half marathon is aid of Bowel Cancer UK, charity which is very close to my heart. As many of you know my Dad passed away on 21 October 2019 shortly after a short 6 month battle with Bowel Cancer, something after witnessing I hope no-one else i know suffers with it.
My Dad was one of a kind and someone who I miss on a daily basis. I will be running this Half Marathon in his memory and at the same time raise some money to help with the research to prevent Bowel Cancer in future.
For those of you that know me, know that I don't run very often at all so this is a fresh challenge to me. I have done the odd 5km fun runs but nothing in comparison to this.
If you would like to donate towards my event I would be very grateful.
