Picturehouse has partnered with Refuge to support women and children across the country and create a world where domestic violence is no longer tolerated or ignored.

Story

Me and my lovely Picturehouse colleagues are setting out to cover 50km each by the end of January, whether it be by running, swimming, hiking or cycling. To challenge myself, I've set my goal of running 10 lots of 5km. Any donation, big or small, would mean the absolute world; it's for a very special cause <3

Picturehouse is proud to be supporting Refuge which helps women and children experiencing domestic violence. Domestic abuse is the biggest issue affecting women in our society today. It affects one in four women at some point in their life and 800,000 children every year. We have set ourselves a collective target of raising £50,000 by the end of the year which will is the equivalent of 962 nights in emergency refuge accommodation. Our teams are already coming up with great ideas to help raise the cash. Help us reach our target by donating to this page or get involved with our events. You can also round up at till purchases to the nearest pound in cinemas, buy a cup of tea where 10p is donated to Refuge, simply make a donation in our in our cinema or donate £5 by texting House to 70730.Check back here to see what great activities we have rustled up!
