Story
On the 23rd April 2023, I will be running the London Marathon!
This is a massive challenge for me, having never ran further than 5K before... I’m bricking it a bit.
Although I secured a ballot place, I still wanted to raise money for a charity to support a worthy cause. For this, I have chosen DEBRA – an outstanding charity who help to improve quality of life for people living with a rare skin condition called “Epidermolysis Bullosa” (EB) also known as ‘Butterfly Skin’. EB is extremely painful and even the slightest touch can cause tearing and blistering of the skin. There is currently no cure, but treatments are being designed to alleviate these painful symptoms.
DEBRA provide lifelong patient support for those living with EB, and fund pioneering research to find a cure. They are a relatively small charity but the work they do is unmatched.
ANY donation, no matter how big or small, would be really, really appreciated. 💙💜🦋
Thanks so much for all the support so far – I’ll try and do my very best on the day!
