Story

In May, I'll be running the Edinburgh Half Marathon for Marie Curie in memory of my Mum and best friend, Mary, who passed away earlier this month. Marie Curie holds a special place in my heart for the amazing support they provided to my Mum and my family during the worst time in our lives and the nurses were compassionate and caring, I couldn't be more grateful. Last year, I started running and found comfort in it during my Mum's illness. So far I've worked up to completing a 10K so a half marathon is going to be a challenge and a chance to really push myself but I know my mum will be with me the whole way, always my biggest supporter. When my mum was a couple years younger than I am now she ran a half marathon and I never thought one day I would be able to run one. If you could spare a pound or two for a donation, it would mean a lot to me but any support is greatly appreciated. Thank you! 🌻☮️🌿💛
