Story
On 2nd October, Ben and I will be taking part in the London Marathon in memory of my wonderful dad, Tony, who in December 2019, at the age of 72, suddenly and unexpectedly died following a heart attack. He had courageously fought and survived cancer twice, but it was heart disease, often referred to as the silent killer, which was to catch everyone off guard and very sadly claim his life.
Heart disease remains the leading cause of death globally, and Ben and I feel very honoured to be chosen to run in aid of British Heart Foundation, whose vision is for a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases. We are hoping to raise as much money as possible to support this fantastic charity as it continues its crucial research into cures and treatment of this disease which can tragically strike without warning at any age.
We would be so grateful for any donations, however small, via our just giving page.
We have been training hard and are looking forward to the challenge.
Thank you very much for your support.
Ellie and Ben
