Story
When my Mum took early retirement 4 years ago, none of us could predict that just one year into retired life, and she’d be diagnosed with advanced non-small cell lung cancer. We’ve been to hell and back, and thankfully been able to access incredible support and treatment options from Addenbrooke’s, Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, Macmillan, and Maggie’s. Roy Castle are the only dedicated lung cancer charity in the country - which is incredible.
Lung cancer in non-smokers, especially women (like my Mum) is fast rising. This can effect anyone; we have to do more to support this. We’re still on the rollercoaster - and I hope that raising as much money as we can will help raise a few smiles and brighten some dark days. I’m doing this for you Mum - my hero x
