The Mare and Foal sanctuary are an amazing charity dedicated to rescuing horse and ponies of all different shapes and sizes. They have an amazing rehoming scheme, adoption scheme, foster scheme and a sponsored pony scheme which help the ponies in their care to find new forever homes where they have the opportunity to receive the love they have previously been deprived of. The Mare and Foal have 6 sanctuary’s situated in Devon, one of which open to the public. In the years they have been open they have rescued over 1000 horses, ponies and foals.

Due to the pandemic they are enable to use their usual fundraising opportunities: charity shops, their cafe and tack shop, yard tours, hosting shows and many more. If you have anything spare please please please donate large or small to a charity who are so in need. 

The Mare and Foal sanctuary is special to me as it only I have to visited many many times since I was a child. But it is a place my Nanny loves very much, she is unable to leave her care home at the moment. But I hope when she is able to she will be able to visit the horses and ponies once again. 

Without the help of staff, volunteers and  supporters they can't carry on providing expert care to the 200 rescued horses and ponies in our six sanctuaries. Help them to continue there amazing work.
