Ellie's Donating 12 inches of her hair

Donating 12 inches of my hair · 25 August 2018
This little princess Tegan was diagnosed on the 3rd of August with Wilms (kidney cancer) stage 4 which had spread to part of her lung, she had a port fitted a week later ready to start chemotherapy on the 15th August to try to shrink the tumours before surgery. The tumours didn’t shrink. She had her left kidney along with a 14x10cm tumour removed on the 11th October, then on the 27th October the one in her lung removed and spent the night in intensive care. She recovered amazingly from both surgeries and started again on chemotherapy but this time more intense as results from her biopsy came back with unfavourable history (40% survival). End of November she started 14 sessions of radiotherapy to her lungs and abdomen as well as having 3 long days of chemotherapy every 3 weeks. She had numerous inpatient stays at our local hospital with fevers and viruses and too many platelets and blood transfusions we lost count, yet nothing stopped her smiling! She rang the end of treatment bell on the 6th September 2017 and had clear scans on the 6th October 2017, Tegan is in remission!! She continues to have scans every 3 months and will do for the next 3/5 years, but each scan has come back clear, our warrior is a survivor! She's an inspiration to everyone and I am so proud of her! This brave little girl has a very special place in my heart and she is going to cut off about 12 inches of my hair which I will send to the little princess trust that provided Tegan and many other children with a wig. Along with this I would like to raise as much money as possible to give to Tegan’s chosen charity, the Sebastian’s action trust so please dig deep in your pockets and spare a little cash for one of the many charities that helped this brave princess get to where she is now. Thank you xx
