Story
On the 25th February 2018, my bestfriend Leah Beth Reek was sadly taken from myself, her loving family and all of those lucky enough to have known her. This occurred in the explosions in Leicester on Hinckley Road, along with her boyfriend Shane, his mum Mary and his brother Sean.
Leah was a selfless and unbelievably kind girl who always put others before herself. Leah often volunteered at LOROS, a charity she held very close to her heart, she found happiness in helping those in need. Also, she was looking forward to attending DeMonfort University to study Nursing in September.
This is a tragic loss for so many people who knew Leah, she could light up any room and put a smile on everyone’s face, she managed to always find the positives in even the worst situations.
In memory of our beautiful Leah, we will be taking part in the LOROS Twilight 10km walk on Saturday 14th April 2018. Any donations, no matter how big or small, would be hugely appreciated so we can support what mattered to Leah so very much.
LOROS is a charity whose aim is to enhance the quality of life of adult patients with cancer, progressive neurological conditions and end-stage organ failure for whom curative treatment is no longer possible. Patients are treated at the Hospice and in the community based upon clinical need, regardless of background and the ability to pay.
