Story

Firstly, I do think this is a lot of fun but I’m not doing the following for that reason alone. For anyone interested in the other big reason, click this link to read about an incredible member of my family: http://alrighttit.blogspot.co.uk/p/about.html

And see the BBC One trailer for The C Word here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWzqIekDHt4&sns=tw

It turns out I quite like this challenge business, so in 2015 I'm going bigger and better. From now until September (and this is just a preliminary list, mind. It's highly likely I'll get roped into more) I'm running more than 100 miles over 19 events through mud, barbed or electrified wire, ice and fire… and that’s just the start.

The list includes (tick denotes completion):

  • Adrenalin Rush (Yorkshire) - April 12
  • Yorkshire Warrior - April 18
  • The Ram Run Spring (Kenilworth) - April 25
  • Warrior Adrenaline Race (Hertford) - April 26
  • Spartan Sprint (London) - May 16
  • Yorkshire Mud Run - May 17
  • Superhuman Games (Bristol) - June 6
  • Total Warrior (Leeds) - June 27
  • Spartan Sprint and Super (Manchester) - July 4
  • The Ram Run Summer (Kenilworth) - July 5
  • Spartan Sprint (Edinburgh) - July 18
  • Spartan Super (Edinburgh) - July 19
  • Tough Mudder Yorkshire, lap 1 - August 1
  • Tough Mudder Yorkshire, lap 2 - August 2
  • Nuts Challenge (Surrey) - September 5
  • Dam tot Damloop (Amsterdam) - September 20
  • Spartan Beast (London) - September 27
  • Airfield Anarchy (Newark) - October 31
  • OCR UK Championships (Essex) - November 14

Everything raised here will go to Trinity Hospice, which helped Lisa so much towards the end of her life.

So please, spare a couple of quid for a great cause and in memory of such an incredible woman.

Thanks ever so much
