My name is Ellie, and I'm a 19 year old student from London. On 7/04/11, after a month of tests, scans and uncertainty I was diagnosed with germ tuber tumour (also known as dysgerminoma), a rare type of ovarian cancer.

On Saturday the 9th of April, I cut my hair into an outrageously coloured mohawk to raise money for Cancer Research :D

During my treatment, my close friend Emanuele Millitello was unbelievably diagnosed with an equivalent cancer to mine - testicular cancer, classical seminoma type. Thanks to the work of the charity Everyman, he knew the signs and caught his cancer early! He's undergone an orchiectomy and is now back on his feet, cancer free, and wants to get the word out!
