I am raising money for the Shiksha Rath slum academy in Delhi. Shiksha Rath, meaning Chariot of Education, is the flagship project of the Touch India Trust, a Delhi-based charity started in 2003.

The academy provides after school classes, nutritious meals, life skills and healthcare to some of Delhi’s poorest children

My adventure starts on 1^st April, when I shall be flying out to Delhi to join a group of 12.  We stay in Delhi for a couple of days and then fly to Leh on the Tibetan plateau in the Himalayas.  We then climatize ourselves for a few days before commencing our multi-stage adventure over 4 consecutive days reaching  approx. 5,400m.  This will be a challenging trek particularly at night time with temperatures descending to about minus 20!
