Tandem Skydive · 6 March 2020
On 6 March 2020, I will be completing a Tandem Skydive to raise money for Mind.
Mind are a charity who provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing mental health problems. In addition to empowering mental health sufferers, Mind also campaigns intensely to raise awareness around mental health issues and promote a deeper understanding amongst society. The charity is committed to ensuring that anyone facing such challenges are met with respect and understanding from their peers. Every year, 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem and will often feel as though they’re alone. Mind works hard to combat this by providing reliable information, guides and stories to help people through difficult times.
Throughout my life, I have struggled to cope with my Mental Health and have watched others very close to me also battle with theirs. I have recently started confronting my Mental Health and knowing that it is okay to not be okay was a good first step for me. Mental Health is just like physical health, everybody has it and we need to take care of it.
Mind is an invaluable source of information and no one should have to face mental health problems alone. For 70 years Mind has been committed to making sure that everyone experiencing mental health problems can access the support they need and is treated with the respect they deserve. It estimated that 25% of people with mental health problems receive support each year and people need Mind now more than ever.
Please help to raise money so that Mind can continue to help people with mental health problems get support and respect.
