Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In May 2012 Ellie Roberts (my cousin) died of MND, an awful disease that needs help to raise awareness and money to find a cure!  Ellie died a very youthful 63, after fighting so bravely against what can only be described as the sheer torture of MND.  It took only 18 months after diagnosis for Ellie to lose her battle.

Climbing Kilimanjaro will be unbelievably hard for me.  Not only will I have no internet, no warm bed, no car more importantly to get me up this rather large mountain and lastly no nice cold G&T at the end of the day!!

It is a very high mountain and will take 6 days, travelling 1500-2000m in a day is a lot for one person who lives at sea level and the consequence of climbing too high, too quickly, is altitude sickness.

I apparently should expect, my body to ache, headaches, vomiting and struggle with my digestive system.

However this is nothing compared to this awful illness.  I would ask you to sponsor me and thereby helping this AWFUL disease.

Wish me luck! xx
