Be part of the £25k for 25 years of Care

I didn’t know what a hospice was until my friend’s daddy and his family sadly needed them during the covid lockdown. I found out about all the amazing people that work there.
Woking & Sam Beare Hospice has been looking after the local community for 25 years, please help me to help them raise £25k so they can continue to offer this valuable service to our loved ones for many more years to come. I have set a target of £2,500 towards this bigger goal
The hospice not only provides end of life care (which they so wonderfully did for a family friend of ours during the Covid lockdown period); they also do a huge amount of work in the community. Allowing many many people to be cared for at home, and providing support not only to individuals but to their carers. It is a really tricky time financially for lots of people, with costs rising all the time . Organisations like Woking Hospice rely on fundraising support to help them to continue to help the community . You never know when you might need their help, like my friends did when their daddy sadly passed away when they were only 11 years old.
I want to do something which will make a difference, and I thought what better way to do that than to take the 25th anniversary as a theme for my fundraising. For those who don’t know, I am 13 years old and so my challenges will be done in between school work, homework and other commitments.
I am going to take on 25 different challenges over the next three months or so, to try to raise as much as I can for the hospice.
My challenges are:
◦ 25 day exercise challenge (25 sit ups, 25 press ups, 25 squats per day)
◦ Cake sale
◦ Run 2.5km
◦ Read consecutively for 25 days
◦ Cycle on watt bike for 2.5hours
◦ Platt 25 friends hair
◦ Donate 25 items to Woking Hospice shops
◦ Host a pamper night
◦ Jump on trampoline for 2.5 hours
◦ Clean windows
◦ Pick up at least 25 items of litter in Horsell common
◦ Take 25 photos of nature
◦ Give 25 compliments to others each month, for the next three months
◦ Create a piece of art to be auctioned at the hospice’s Dove Ball in November
◦ Collect 25 rocks from 25 different places in England and decorate them
◦ 25 keepy uppies with table tennis bat and ball
◦ Host a pizza night
◦ Sing kareoke for 25 minutes
◦ Swim 25 lengths
◦ Learn 25 new words
◦ Sponsored silence for 25 hours
◦ Give up chocolate for 25 days
◦ Count backwards from 250
◦ Wash cars
◦ Create a poster competition with friends which celebrates the hospice’s 25th anniversary. Hospice chooses the winner!
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE sponsor me as much as you are able so that we can make a real difference to the hospice and the people they care for.
Thank you. Xx
