Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. During lockdown I was inspired by my brother Joseph to start running and completed my first half marathon in Manchester last year. It was an amazing day and I knew I wanted to run another this year whilst also raising money for a fantastic cause.
Diabetes UK is a charity close to my family and their mission means a lot to me. My brother Jack was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of twelve and has lived with this for the past sixteen years. His ability to overcome the challenges faced from this condition at such a young age has been a consistent source of inspiration for me. From the constant monitoring of his blood sugar levels, to multiple daily injections, this is something no child should have to face. Whilst the growth in technology over the past 16 years has been incredible there is still not a cure. We need to live in a world where Diabetes can do no harm. We need to find a cure.
Together by donating to Diabetes UK we can aid in accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat type 1 diabetes. Your donation will make a huge difference in Jack's life and all those living with diabetes.
