On Sunday 21st June, I will be running 10K for Macmillan Cancer Support to help raise money and awareness for this terrible illness. I feel I would gain a great sense of achievement after my own encounter with the C word this year .. and what better way then to fundraise for such an amazing cause

I am now hugely aware of the care and support provided by charities such as Macmillan and it would mean so much to me to give something back to all the selfless people that give their time to make each cancer patient feel as comfortable and positive as possible.

By the 21st June, my Godfather, Colm, will have finished his treatment for the prostate cancer that he has recently been diagnosed with and I feel that I owe someone out there for looking after such a special man.

I'd also like to mention my friends Suzanne and Grant who sadly lost their Mum to cancer in January. So this is also in loving memory of Kim Basey.

Once again, thank you again for visiting my page. I can't wait to run the race and look forward to making those who have been supporting me over the past 6 months very, very proud.
