My name is Ella and I am an autistic female from the north east of England. Support for autistic people is very low- autism is so misunderstood and finding the right help can be really difficult. 

I have always wanted to shave my head- but I also want to raise some money for a worth while autism charity- so I am combining this and using the event to raise awareness and funds! 

The North East Autism Society helps autistic children, adults and parents get the support needs they deserve whilst understanding autism at the same time- I have chosen this charity because of their care. 

I have chosen this charity because if the tailored support they can provide- they understand what challenges autistic people face but do not reduce them to this. They understand that so many people go undiagnosed or are misdiagnosed. An important thing to remember about it autism.
