Thank you so much for supporting my fundraising. Every donation, however small, adds up and I am so grateful for anything you can spare.
When my mum was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma in 2014, it was scary and she was not sure what her next steps should be. She also had no idea how she was going to tell my sister and me. The Macmillan nurses calmly and empathetically talked her through the different ways she could approach it, and this removed one worry from her plate. The team are knowledgeable, reassuring and their kindness hugely impacted my family, especially my mum, during her recovery.
My Gramps was diagnosed with bowel cancer in October, and was grateful for the time, experience and support offered by Macmillan. The nurses gently explained what would happen and his options, and again this gave someone for him to share his worries and journey with. The Macmillan team make time for their patients.
Macmillan is a brilliant charity, and my family and I are so grateful for them. They give people with cancer everything they’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are Macmillan’s worries. But without your help, Macmillan can’t support everyone who needs them. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure.
