Story
A year ago, we said goodbye to Milo, the bravest, funniest, cleverest, cheekiest, loveliest, kindest five year old with an endless appetite for knowledge and a serious obsession with Super Heroes. Milo's mum, Marie, founded OSCAR's Charity with her late husband Ian in 2014 when they lost their older son Oscar to a paediatric brain tumour.
The aim of OSCAR's Charity is to fund much needed research into paediatric brain tumours - in the last 30 years there has been only one new drug produced for childhood cancers and at the moment under 1% of the government cancer research budget goes to brain tumours, which is crazy when you consider that brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer in people under the age of 40.
On 18th June, Rachel Evans, Alannah Flynn, Lucas Wilson, Jake Cakaunitabua, and myself will be talking part in the Inflatable 5K run in Elvington in a team to raise as much money as we can for OSCAR's Charity.
Milo was a shining star and we feel privileged to have been a small part of his life; the light and laughter he brought to us all will never fade and he will continue to shine in our hearts for always.
The most super of all Super Heroes 🦸♂️
