Well we did it!

It was a beautiful morning for a walk, if a little chilly! Paul has couple of blisters that need tending to - that'll teach him to wear boots that he's never used long distance before He also have a few aches and pains in joints that definitely need a bit more excercise, but the main thing was that we had fun and raised a huge amount for the Pepper Foundation!

Thanks for all the support we've had and to everyone who walked with us, especially to Penny & Dave for their fantastic effort raising nearly £1K between them! The team total is somewhere over £3.5K

Quick update - 13/10/11

With only a few days to go until the walk we have smashed our target! We cannot thank everyone enough for your donations - completely overwhelmed at the support - just amazing!

"Saskia's Sunshine Girls" (and boys!) are taking part in the Pepper Sunrise Walk on 16th October 2011 to raise much-needed money for this wonderful charity. Ella, Paul & Kaya are all walking and have persuaded family, friends and Pepper Nurses to join in too! :-)

Although Saskia is no longer with us, most of you will know that she needed a lot of care and support and the Pepper nurses were fantastic at not just caring for her but supporting all of us as a family too. They were an invaluable part of our lives for many years (and still are!) and give assistance just when it's needed. This year we are doing this walk in Saskia's memory to continue to support the Pepper Foundation and help them with their vital work looking after other children and families just like ours.
