Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2011, during revision period for my AS levels aged 16 I had a stroke due to a hole in my heart. This presented as a migraine so it took 3 days to get treatment (too late!). I’m left with permanent damage to my brain and therefore have loss of left peripheral vision.
Stroke in young people is more common than most people think and maybe if I’d recognised the symptoms they may have been able to reverse the damage.
I was lucky to get away with minimal effects, but I want to raise awareness and money for a charity that supports people who are not as lucky as me!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
As you know I’m not a sporty person and definitely not a runner, so this really will be a challenge for me! Thank you in advance for any donation 😊
