Story
This year marks 20 years since Home Start Kernow began supporting families with young children in Cornwall. Throughout the year we will be celebrating this with a series of fundraising events and our 'Cascade of Kindness' campaign.
The Covid-19 pandemic and resulting lockdowns and restrictions has been incredibly challenging for so many families. An increase in referrals to our service means that more than ever we need to raise funds to help support the vital work we do.
Running in our beautiful countryside has kept me going through the last 12 months so I've decided to get involved and support the campaign by doing a bit more! As almost all running events cancelled or postponed this year I have had to create my own.
On Saturday 6th March I will be running 20 miles around the trails, coast paths and rural lanes that I am lucky enough to have on my doorstep. Whilst beautiful, this route will be hilly, muddy and a definite challenge!
Completing this challenge will certainly be a personal achievement but I also hope it can help to raise some much needed funds for Home Start Kernow. Please support me if you can. Even the smallest donations will be very gratefully received and help us achieve our aim of being there for families when they need us most.
