Story
I'm climbing Kili for COCO! CoCo is a children's charity that works throughout Africa creating sustainable projects that focus mainly on education and medicine. My climb to the top of Kili will not only provide funding for projects, but will help spread awareness of both CoCo and the struggles that people face everyday.
Every bit makes a difference:
£3: a malaria net to save a child
£10: a uniform so a child can attend school
£70: school fees for a teenager for ALL of secondary school
£500: lunch for ONE HUNDRED children for a year
I have been lucky enough to attend school in three countries, and for many of these children, high school isn't even an option, simply because they cannot afford the £70 yearly fee--we all need to give back what we can.
I have a big fundraising target.I will make it, and you can help be part of the awesomeness. Whether it's 50 cents or 500 dollars, every cent helps me get closer to my goal of climbing Kili to help thousands of children. And if you donate, feel free to request something for me to do at the summit--be it wearing a ridiculous piece of clothing, or cartwheels, I will do it as a "thank you". So please, send this to everyone you know, and take time to reflect on how lucky we all are, and allow me to give something back.
Thank you so much for your help, I appreciate it, and the kids whose lives will be changed appreciate it too!
Liz
