What I'm doing:
I will be taking on a 8 week training regime for a boxing match (I have never boxed before). I will then be selling tickets for the event so you can all see me in action in a real boxing match.
Why:
Tomorrow will be a year since Annie passed away. I spent most of my time in Australia with this amazing girl, when I left we still spoke and skyped every birthday or before most operations or after radiotherapy.
In her own words Annie:
Hello Earthlings!
I am a fighter....fighting a brain tumor that I have to live with FOREVER. I won't let it shut me down! Grrr!
Hopefully this will inspire others.
"Do what YOU want to do !" Don't let mean horrible humans get to you!
Just be who YOU are!
And live life everyday to your fulfillment !
No matter how much shit you've been through, THINK, it could be A LOT WORSE! There are many other people out there suffering from a lot of things.
Do not let depression win. If you need to cry, CRY! Let it out! It actually helps, hugs help too! *I give free hugs! :)
while trying to stay alive! :D
I'm making the most of everything I can do now, before it's too late! I ain't going to just sit there and do nothing.
That's why:
I miss hearing from her and it's such a waste that someone so positive and wanting to experience everything died so young. I plan to go to Australia soon to see her friends and family and remember her wonderful enthusiasm and zest for life, but first I would like to raise more money to help stop a family lose someone so young and make sure no one suffers like Annie did.
This is for everyone that knew and misses Annie and I'm sure there are a few that would like to see me punched in the face too.
Life isn't fair and never will be but I'll always be glad I met her and her friends and family, and hope that we can help others in Annie's postion.
