Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Rob my husband had a double lung transplant on 12 December 2011 and enjoyed two and a half years of a fantastic life having been gifted his lungs from the donor's family. Whilst awaiting his transplant and after his transplant the Freeman Heart & Lung Transplant Association looked after us by giving us affordable accommodation required when attending the lung clinic or admission into hospital. They supplied information and any other help we required and without them life would have been a bit difficult. Rob was passionate about how he wished to repay their kindness in any small way he could and also wanted to promote organ donation all around the world. He worked tirelessly to achieve his goal. Sadly Rob died on 21 July 2014 and as a family we decided that at his funeral it would be family flowers only. Several people wanted to send flowers and we thought it would be appropriate that instead of flowers people could make donations to the charity for the excellent work they deliver hence we have set up this Just Giving page.
