Story
Having worked for Alexander Devine since May 2019, I have seen first hand the vital and amazing work the charity is doing, in supporting so many families across Berkshire. It is a real privilege working alongside some amazing families and this is my little way of helping to increase the work and support we will be able to offer the families. Through raising money this will help to be able to develop the charities work. Approximately 96% of the money we need to raise to keep running each year comes from fundraising so please donate however much you feel able to.
I really appreciate everyone's support and every £1 will help towards being able to offer more care and support to so many children and their families.
Thank you
Alexander Devine Childrens Hospice Service provides essential support to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and their families across Berkshire and the surrounding communities.John and Fiona Devine from Windsor set up the charity in memory of their extraordinary little boy who sadly passed away in 2006 at the age of 8 from a rare brain tumour. Their personal experience, and subsequent extensive research, led them to realise that there was a vital need for a local childrens hospice service and hospice. Our childrens hospice service means very different things for each child and their family and as such our care is very personal. Whatever and wherever the need, we are dedicated to bringing comfort and care to these families. Our services include: respite care, specialist play, symptom management, family support, end of life care and bereavement support. Care is delivered either at home, in hospital, or within our hospice building.
