As part of my work at Imperial College, I teach a strand of courses on Sustainable Human Development within the Global Challenges field of the Imperial Horizons programme. The global issue that seems the most pressing and urgent in my part of the world at the moment is the refugee crisis. My students and I will be raising funds for the same cause and hopefully together we can make a real difference.

For my own contribution, I will be running over 100 muddy miles by completing four cross country marathons in October, December, January and March. I am not a fast, strong or experienced runner so this will be a real challenge for me.
