Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In 1991, just after I was born, I lost my uncle. Richard Griffiths was just 19 when he passed away in his sleep. As many of you know, not too long after this, my Grandmother also passed away due to a heart attack. Many years passed without knowing the direct cause of Richards death - until recently my Aunty suffered a heart attack.

We have since discovered that our family carry the rare Long QT Syndome gene. Whilst my family are all being genetically tested, we hope to raise awareness so that more people connected with sudden death will be able to obtain a possible cause. 1 in 7000 people carry the gene but are blissfully unaware until its too late.

Please help us to raise the profile of Long QT so that more people are aware of the risks and symptoms of this condition.
