Today 2 in 4 people diagnosed with cancer will survive the disease. The work done by Cancer Research UK is changing lives with the goal to progress this to 3 in 4 people surviving by 2034. Thus proving how crucial their work is for all people being impacted by cancer. I am running the Great North Run in memory of my Grandad who passed away 5 years ago from this awful disease and has been missed greatly everyday since.  All donations made to this charity will make a great difference to people's lives, helping move towards cures and improved treatment. Meaning that other people would not have to suffer like my Grandad and families keep their loved ones with them.
