Story
We are doing "Miles for MS in May" with gratitude for both the MS Trust's excellent research into improved treatment and outcomes and the support they provide to those diagnosed with and affected by MS.
In our ignorance, prior to my (Liz's) diagnosis during the first lockdown in 2020, we had very little understanding about how important all of this research and support was to people with MS. We now know only too well how much "MSers" hope and pray for a cure and improved treatments to help us lead the life we always thought we'd be able to lead, prior to diagnosis. We also know how reassuring their helpline and other support services really are. Who knew we'd need them but we have been bloody grateful that they're there.
So here we are trying to do a little bit to support keeping this research and these support structures in place by walking 100 miles (each!) during May. If you can help by supporting and/or sponsoring us (if you're able to), it would mean a lot!

The MS Trust is a UK charity that believes nobody should have to manage multiple sclerosis alone. They are there for everyone effected by MS, from moment of diagnosis and throughout their journey. They're here today, tomorrow and every day after, making sure a life with MS isn't a life defined by MS.The MS Trust receive no government or NHS funding. It's only thanks to the generosity of our supporters, such as The incredible MS Trust London Marathon Team that they continue their work.Did you know:£6 could pay for one copy of an MS information book, which can help a person with MS better understand their condition.£15 could pay for one of our information specialists to provide telephone support to a person with MS.£100 could cover the cost to provide our Making Sense of MS guide to everybody diagnosed with MS in one week.
