Story
This time five years ago I was told I had cervical cancer.
From the point of being diagnosed, throughout the treatment I received and all through my recovery the Mustard Tree Centre was there for me and my family.
Without the wonderful staff I honestly don't think I would have kept my sanity or even completed the treatment. When I just needed space to cry, sleep or question everything they were there. Once I started feeling better but still had wobbles they were there supporting at every step on my journey back to 'normality'.
Now I am about to be discharged from the care of the oncology department (as I am will be 5 years cancer free later this year) I feel the time is right to give something back
I am raising money for The Mustard Tree Fund which supports the Mustard Tree Centre. It is a hub, a haven of help, for anybody who is affected by Cancer and for their families, carers and loved ones. The Centre is comfortable, welcoming - a place where people can sit and reflect, or speak to someone about concerns they have. They offer information about their cancer; details of support that is available, and include and help their family. It is an invaluable opportunity to talk to someone about how they feel and get the support they need.It has helped many people both practically and emotionally and we're helping it continue to build on this amazing work.
