Story

Join our Walks of Hope 2020 campaign and help us to get closer to a cure.

Iris’ son, Ian McLean, lost his brave fight with a brain tumour 7 years ago. She says ‘Ian always loved helping people, doing things in the community and so bravely went thro' treatments in an effort to try to be there for his little girl. Sadly it was not to be and we will walk where Ian loved to walk, desperate to raise as much as possible for research, so that in the near future, a cure can be found. It has totally devastated his young family and all of us.’

Throughout August 2020 we have been on the turbulent journey of discovering that my Dad has an aggressive brain tumour; a Grade IV Glioblastoma in his Temporal Lobe.
