As many of you know, I'm a pretty stubborn person and will be attempting my first marathon, having done two halfs. The New York cold will make training extremely tough  but it will all be worth it.

My Grandpa had a triple heart bypass three and a half years ago which gave him a completely new lease of life and I will forever be grateful to the British Heart Foundation for their lifesaving work. My Grandpa continues to inspire me and I'm running in memory of his smile, love of chocolate mousses, infectious whistling, and singing with me.

I hope you can spare even a pound or a dollar! Anything is amazing.
