Story
Welcome and thank you for taking the time to have a look at my page.
My wonderful father passed away peacefully in his sleep on 5th April 2013, after a truly well fought battle with Blastoid Mantle Cell Lymphoma. It is a relatively rare form of cancer and there is currently very little known about its causes and, unfortunately, it has an inevitably short prognosis.
To us, it was a death sentence. My dad had been sure he would have had a few more adventures in his later years; held his first grandchild and walked his daughter down the aisle. The tales he told of his life's achievements and escapades have had many giggles and tears in our eyes over the last few months. The stories have inspired James and I to go out into the world and have a few adventures of our own.
I will be cycling the London Bikeathon 2013 - cycling 100 miles around London raising money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research this September! James and I have raised over £750 so far for his Canadian adventure and we will both by cycling Land’s End to John O’Groats in the not too distant future!
James and I shall be keeping a blog of our challenging experiences, please follow it and keep up to date with our experience. Please donate, as you will be supporting an amazing cause and helping to save lives!!!
