Bydd pob ceiniog yn mynd at ystafell arbennig ar gyfer rhieni sydd wedi colli plentyn yn ystod genedigaeth neu yn fuan wedi hynny.

Mi ges i ysfa gry wedi cael gwybod ein bod ni wedi colli babi yn ystod sgan 12 wythnos, bod angen gofod ar wahân i rieni sy’n galaru.

Pan glywis i bod na fwriad i symud yr ystafell arbennig yma oddi ar y Ward Esgor ac i greu gofod arbennig a chysurus i rieni yn ystod amser mor mor anodd - roedd rhaid gwneud rywbeth i helpu… felly dyma gofrestru i redeg Hanner Marathon Caerdydd 2023.

In 2020, around 4,500 babies in the UK were stillborn or died within four weeks of their lives. Many families dont know this is going to happen, and some dont have anywhere to go and spend time with their babies. I want to help change this at Ysbyty Gwynedd. The current bereavement suite for families is located on the Maternity Outpatient Assessment Unit where they can hear other expectant families having scans and newborn babies crying. The new suite will be located in a quieter area and costs £15,000 to complete. The room will have a wet room and kitchenette, something the current room doesnt have to offer. The redevelopment will help families spend time with their babies in a more homely environment, away from the Maternity Unit.
