The First Tee started as a way to bring an affordable junior golf program to youth and communities that did not have them. What The First Tee soon discovered was that blending the rules of the game with life and leadership skills, kids and teens didnt just learn how to putt they were learning important values. At The First Tee of Lake County we are proud to have a 20 year history of serving families in and around Lake County! Our mission is to positively impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. For the past 20 years we have focused on introducing thousands of children to the wonderful game of golf and its inherent values. We have expanded programs to include 20 elementary schools, six golf course locations, a two Junior Advisory Councils, dozens of collegiate golfers, and so much more!
