Elias was admitted to Birmingham Children's Hospital on 26th Oct 2014 after he stopped breathing and suffered a cardiac arrest. Unfortunately, this lead to severe brain damage and he lost his fight for survival on 2nd Nov 2014. During his time at the hospital, he was cared for by an amazing team of doctors and nurses, who did everything they could to save him. The people that cared for Elias are the closest we will ever come to meeting real life Super Heroes. They worked tirelessly to make Elias as comfortable as possible and treated him with love and respect, and gave us time with him that otherwise we would not have had. We want to raise as much as possible in order to help the hospital continue the work they do with children and their families.
