Story
We are journeying to the summit of Mount Mitchell in North Carolina -- the highest mountain in the Eastern United States. We are dedicating this trip to our Moms.
Margie Echols died on September 5, 2008 of cancer after a long undiagnosed illness. She was devoted to the Writings of Emanuel Swedenborg and loved sharing the Lord's truth with anyone (and everyone) she met. She loved mountains and their correspondence as places of connection with God. We think she would be thrilled to be connected with this effort to support the Swedenborg Foundation.
Frances Homber died on November 19, 1998 after a long fight with HIV/AIDS. She was an avid mountain climber and nature lover in Zimbabwe and South Africa. Frances truly felt the Lord's presence in nature and she found encouragement and strength in the writings of Emanuel Swedenborg. We know her spirit will be with us on this most beautiful summit.
We would love your support in honor of our Moms!
(Note to avoid misunderstanding: we will be driving up the mountain and hiking two loop trails at the top).
