Story
Thanks for visiting our JustGiving page for the Liverpool to Chester bike ride we are going to do on Sunday 3rd July 2011. We hope to raise some funds for Claire House Children’s Hospice. The Hospice is for children and young people with life limiting, life threatening conditions from across Cheshire, North Wales, Merseyside and the Isle of Man.
The bike ride is 30 miles (including nearly 3 miles underground!) starting from the Liverpool side of the Mersey Tunnel with the finish at the Countess of Chester.
A little bit about the Hospice:
Imagine the heartbreak of being told that your child may not live beyond childhood years. Claire House Children’s Hospice is dedicated to making the most of a life that is limited, not just for the child, but for the whole family.
They are a lifeline for over 300 families. As well as providing specialist respite and terminal care for children with life limiting or life threatening conditions, they provide bereavement care for as long as it is needed.
This highly specialised care and support costs in excess of £2.2 million each year. They receive no direct funding from the NHS are dependent on donations to sustain their vital work.
Any money raised will be going to a fantastic cause and your support is really appreciated.
