Event: Let's Support Mental Health Services at Bell, on 3 December 2021
Mental health matters. All. Year. Long. Speaking up, sharing and listening, and supporting mental health programs is especially important as the holidays draw near. Loneliness, depression, and anxiety often stand beside festive tradition and fun.

Story

As a student athlete for York College I know first hand the mental health stress in balancing school, sports and life. 2020 showed all of us that mental health was in the forefront and now more than ever we need to partner with programs like Bell!

Supporting mental health programs in our community means showing PEOPLE who are living with mental illness that they are valued and respected. That we believe they deserve to live with dignity and that we champion their efforts for independence and wellbeing. With the premature loss of her brother last year, it's still difficult sometimes for Meggan to pull herself out of depression, but she's committed to being there for her nephew and tell him about his dad. And she's committed to doing right by herself, including surrounding herself with people who provide a positive influence and support her personal growth and wellbeing. She's been through some hard times, but Meggan has found a place to work through her challenges thanks to Bell's mental health programs.

Your support can truly make a difference. Please support my team as we huddle together to make this fundraiser a success with your help we can do this. Together, we make change!
