Story
On the 15th April, other Mencap volunteers and I are walking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks (lead by Nat Peckett and Tom Bailey <3) to fundraise for Oundle Mencap Holidays (OMH).
OMH runs residential holiday camps for 70 young people aged 8-18 with learning disabilities every summer. OMH is run and staffed by volunteers and we rely entirely on donations to make our holidays happen each year. For more info, please visit https://oundlemencap.co.uk
The route is 38.6km with 1585m of elevation gain and includes peaks Ingleborough, Pen-y-ghent and Whernside and we are aiming to complete it in sub-12 hours! Bearing in mind that the last time I did any walking with a heavy backpack was my bronze DofE (which also probably involved a few short cuts) any donations would be greatly appreciated, and would mean the world to myself, the holiday makers and their parents!
