Story
Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions. With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young. By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions. See how your support can help by visiting www.c-r-y.org.uk
On 18th March 2022, our lives were turned upside down very suddenly, as Pat suffered from Sudden Arrythmic Death Syndrome, which is typically only known about at the last minute during a sudden cardiac arrest.
Certain symptoms that Pat had over the last 2 years link back to symptoms associated with Sudden Arrythmic Death Syndrome, the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young are a charity that are working to raise awareness and help save others. They run a screening programme to bring to light any hereditary heart conditions that may typically go unnoticed until it's too late.
I will be running the Robin Hood Half marathon in memory of our wonderful Pat. A truly caring, inspirational and all round gorgeous lady who had such a positive impact on all of those who knew her.
Please give what you can to support this amazing charity and the vital work they are doing.
