Story
Hi Everyone,
Just to to let you all know I competed the marathon in 4 hours and 20 minutes. It was 25 Celsius and 95% humidity which sure made the challenges that little bit harder. I did not let it defeat me and got to the finish line. It was such an amazing and wonderful experience. I am now looking to find my next marathon to enter so watch this spot.
Thank you to all for your generous donations.
Love Eleanor xHi Everyone,
So the time has come for me to start my fundraising page. I am running the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon on the 28th Feb 2010. I have been training now for the past 3 months and am up to running 17 miles. I love running and thought it was finally time to put it to good use, so I thought I would run 26.2 miles and really challenge myself. Training has been going well and so far I have not suffered any major injuries apart from a few aches and pains after my long runs.
I am aiming to complete the marathon in 4 hours and my training would suggest that I will, but if I complete it under 4 hours 30 minutes it will still be a huge achievement.
I have chosen to raise money for Cancer Research as it is a cause I feel can always use more money for more research and treatment and help sufferers. It is an illness that has affected most people whether it a family member or friend, so I'm hoping you can all dig deep to help me reach my target of £1000.
No matter how small the donation it will all be greatly received and I appreciate the time you have taken to read my page and donate your money.
I will keep my page updated on how my training etc comes along over the next few weeks and once I have completed the Marathon I will post my final time.
Please all be thinking of me on the day as I run the 26.2 miles.
Thanks again to everyone
Love
Eleanor xx
Hi Everyone,
Just a quick update. I completed my 19 mile run on Sunday in 2 hours 42 minutes so training is all going well. Injury free and a very painful sports massage later I am feeling more and more prepared for the 26 miles.
I want to thank you all for your donations so far and I will be sure to keep you posted on how it all goes on the day.
Love
Eleanor x
