Story

On 1st July 2007, several members of Eldon Square Shopping Centre's management team will be abseiling from the roof of Newcastle Quayside's Malmaison Hotel.

Paul Thewlis and Donna Harrop will be lowering themselves the length of the building - a height greater than that of the Tyne Bridge - in aid of The National Autistic Society, whose great work benefits those effected with autism in the United Kingdom.

This is the first.... and quite possibly last time any of our team has attempted abseiling, let alone descending the height of the Malmaison Hotel, but it's for a great cause and we're confident that we can raise a lot of money for our chosen charity.

So please, dig deep and feel free to come along on 1st July and cheer, laugh, gasp or cry as we make our descent down the face of the building!

Thank you in advance and we'll see you on the ground!

Paul & Donna
